Mhaven's Story
Mhaven was born in Ul'dah to master alchemist Marius Dread, a member of the secret revolutionary force know only as the Twilight Collective. Growing up she knew nothing of her father, other than that he was an Ala Mhigan refugee. Thanks to his alchemical genius he made a fortune selling his creations to the elite of Ul'dah, his shop "Dread's Drafts and Beyond" becoming a household name. Marius' influence and wealth grew rapidly over the years eventually granting him a seat on the syndicate, but he also gained a great many enemies as he was known to be quite generous to the other refugees and under privileged of the city, not to mention his work with the collective that went on behind the scenes. Mhaven didn't share her father's sentimentality and often looked down on the impoverished in disgust, yet used her father's success and wealth to become a well known socialite where her aristocratic nature would earn her the title of "The Princess of Ul'dah."For many years Marius would insist on Mhaven joining him with his work, often alluding to some great purpose he needed to fulfill. While she took to alchemy with a preternatural proficiency, it wasn't what she truly desired. It was only once the cultivation of reagents became part of her duties that she finally submitted, becoming obsessed with her botanical studies. One day Mhaven returned to her father's shop to find a roaring inferno, she desperately leapt into the flames hoping to save her father, and his work. Inside all she recovered were some scorched bones, miscellaneous jewelry, and a skeleton key. With Marius assumed dead, Mhaven was named the sole heir to his entire fortune and business. Although she studied his art she never intended to run his store, but he had never trusted another to be his apprentice, so all his secrets were now hers alone, she ignored the shop, and customers committing herself to master the craft of Alchemy, ad fulfill her father's "Great Purpose." However, it wasn't long after assuming control of her father's assets she mysteriously sold his entire business, including his trademarked name and fled the city of Ul'dah, severing all connections.Several years later she resurfaced in Ishgard, selling simple alchemical concoctions on a street corner in the Brume. Truly, the princess of Ul'dah had fallen from grace, the clear wear of stress showing on her formerly flawless complexion. To support her cause she often takes up odd jobs, as a hired gun and bounty hunter. Winter's Kiss is the cold piece of steel always at her side, adorned with blue roses. Mhaven now carries on her father's dream, working to serve the less fortunate, while funneling all of her wealth into several secret projects. She tends to work alone, and is slow to trust, but she has not remained unnoticed by those who seek her skills, or knowledge. She currently lives in the Empyreum only a stones throw from the 'Forgotten Gardners.'

Where am I now?
After leaving Ul'dah Mhaven found her way to Ishgard, during the end of the Dragonsong war. Seeing the unfortunate state of the residents she decided to set down roots and offer medicine on the cheap to those who couldn't afford much, as well as help with the opening of the Empyreum. Using her skills of science and deduction she made a name for herself as a Private Investigator and Bounty Hunter but is very selective about the jobs she chooses to pursue. She managed to purchase herself a modest home of her own, where she has created a garden sanctuary for the practice of her alchemical and botanical arts. The weather is perfect for her work, as she spends what little free time she has trying to achieve her dream.Currently Mhaven is still working on several secret projects, and being rather selective about the bounties she accepts, avoiding Ul'dah at all costs. Despite a serious humbling from her time in the big city, she can still usually be found sporting the latest fashion, unless of course she's wearing one of her father's old coats. She keeps the coats with respect, as the last remaining piece of her father.Recently she began a tenuous friendship with a kind Au'ra healer she met in Ishgard, which lead to the discovery of her long lost sister, Midnyte. Her sister has already tried to kill or capture Mhaven several times, as she seems desire information about their father and his secret alchemical project. Despite trying her best to handle the situation alone, she has formed an uncertain alliance with the members of the 'Forgotten Gardeners."
